The iOS is the mobile operating system of Apple Inc and was originally developed to be used for the iPhone. But today it has been used on both the iPad and the iPad touch.
Apple is strongly against running their operating system on any third-party hardware. There is over 250,000 iOS app in Apple's App Store , but if you need an application that you cannot get in the Apple app store, you will need to jail break your iPad.
