What is your favorite feature of the soon to be released iPad 2.0?

Are there any features that aren't on the iPad or iPad 2.0 that you wish would be on? I don't have an iPad and was wondering if anything could lure me into buying the iPad 2.0. Convince my why I need the iPad 2.0.

Separate topics with commas, or by pressing return. Use the delete or backspace key to edit or remove existing topics.

You can leave an optional "tip" with Mahalo's virtual currency, Mahalo Dollars. If you are asking a difficult question that might require some research, or if you'd like a wide variety of feedback, a higher tip often leads to more answers to your question.

The thing I like most about the iPad is the touch screen. I have a hard time with the regular laptop because I am so used to having a mouse that I find myself getting a headache quickly. The iPad will allow us to touch the screen which I enjoy.

I have not purchased an iPad either, we do however have an iPod Touch. I am not going to lie, there are some things I do not like about it, such as the small screen, being older it hurts my eyes. But, I really do enjoy the touch screen.

The iPad is larger so I believe it will be easier on the eyes.

The iPad apps look exciting and I also like the look of the calendar, to more easily organize your schedule.

If you enjoy being online or work from home, the iPad looks exciting!

During the recent Apple event presided by no less than Steve Jobs, in which he introduced the new iPod Touch, Apple TV. As far as the new iPod Touch is concerned, new features such as video calling, rear-facing cameras and Face Time. I think these new features of the iPod, gives me clear indications that the iPad 2.0 will have this new features.

Furthermore, it is a big possibility that the new iPad will run in iOS 4.0, as what have been found on the new iPhone 4.0. Another new feature that would probably happen is that the iPad 2.0 will connect automatically with other Apple devices such as the Apple TV, iPod Touch and iPhone.

""It is sort of like Facebook and Twitter meet iTunes," Jobs said, referring to the world's top online social networking and microblogging services."

Like you @kerryk, I also do not own an iPad yet but I think the soon to be released iPad 2.0 is worth the wait. And ReadWriteWeb has summed up the reasons why we should wait for the iPad 2.0.

1. Camera – the lack of a camera (I wish it would be of bigger MP too, haha so I won’t buy a digital camera anymore) in the iPad 1.0 makes the iPad looks a lot less functional than netbooks. And I think for a user like me who loves to take pictures, I’d certainly be happy if the camera would be included to the iPad 2.0 as I have plan on buying an iPad when the budget allows.
2. Voice calls – Aside from the camera, another necessary component for the implementation of video chat is voice esp. the VoIP functionality via an app.
3. Annotation for iBooks – the iPad should have the ability to allow for bookmarking, highlighting, and annotations of text like that of Kindle.
4. Hold out for Verizon – This should be a good news esp. to the Verizon subscribers as Apple is currently having an exclusive contract with AT&T.
5. Wait for Multitasking via OS 4.0 - OS 4.0 is hoped to offer a new way to run applications in the background via multitasking with a “crazy fast” speed but without draining the battery as fast as before.

You can see the reasons and comment"5 Reasons to Wait for iPad 2.0"

I love my iPad. It has almost completely replaced my personal computer. For the things I do... Is is perfect! Much nicer than any CPU I have ever owned. All my other computers would do a lot of things I would never use it for, and do it painfully in the process (slow, buggy, etc.). When you get down to what you do most on you personal computer... the iPad does almost all of the things an average user needs, and with a much much nicer U/I. Easy of use, fast, and efficient. The other computer manufacturers could learn a thing or two from this, but even if they do... they will probably screw-up the one they come out with by adding all the crap back in again. Ugggggg!!!!

I am sticking with my iPad. I think other will do the same once they try it and realize it is the perfect personal computer :-)
