What is the best way to connect an iPad to an iPhone?

For fun, and probably rather useless, reasons such as changing songs, managing the slideshow etc. But more importantly: use the iPhone as a modem for the iPad. I know there will be a 3G version of the iPad, but I won't be buying it to replace my phone, so as I already have a data plan I don't really use all that much, it would he nice if I could use it with the iPad instead of buying another 3G plan.

Also, this may have been discussed, will it be possible to play files from a remote network drive? Or will I have to always sync with iTunes?

Separate topics with commas, or by pressing return. Use the delete or backspace key to edit or remove existing topics.

You can leave an optional "tip" with Mahalo's virtual currency, Mahalo Dollars. If you are asking a difficult question that might require some research, or if you'd like a wide variety of feedback, a higher tip often leads to more answers to your question.

The best way to connect your iPhone to your iPad is to tether the iPhone so that you will be able to connect it to your iPad. Since the release of the iPad Wifi model many have raised questions if it is possible to use iPhone tethering hack to connect to the iPad and Steve Job's response was "No, it won't tether with iPad." There are rumors that AT&T might announce tethering plans but there is no confirmation on this yet whether this is true and when it will be available.

If you jailbreak your phone you will be able to do so, granting that you are in dire need to connect your iPhone with your iPad. Once you have a phone that is jailbroken that you will be able to do this. Just purchase MyWi from Cydia for $9.99. You can watch the video below so that you will be guided on how to tether your iPhone with your iPad.

If you jailbreak your iPhone you can use a program like MyWi to share your 3G connection via WiFi.

I believe MiWi is available via the Cydia Store for $9.99

Full instructions are available from the source link.
