According to my online research, there are several features that are expected on the iPad 2.0; most of these features are those that were missing in the first model of the iPad and those that needed some improvements.

Some of the features expected on the iPad 2.0 include;

*A new size, a little smaller than the present nine inch model and light weighted. This will even make it possible for iPad to come down on the price, so that more people could afford it.

*A better and clearer screen. The present iPad has a wrong screen for videos, but I have to agree that it is okay for reading books. The new iPad might just have the perfect shape to suit all uses.

*A longer lasting battery

*A front facing camera on the new iPad 2.0 would make video chat and video conferencing possible. This is one feature that would definitely be on the new iPad. It has caused a lot of discussion and I believe Apple would not let this pass again.

*Multitasking feature is expected in the iPad 2.0

*A cheaper price

These are just expectation, Apple has not yet let us in to what the iPad 2.0 would look like, but you can be sure it would be a lot better than its predecessor.

The latest rumors about iPad 2.0 are not only about WHAT will be included, but WHEN it will come out. Apple typically refreshes products every year, but the most recent news on the iPad is that they may actually release iPad 2.0 in time for the holidays. That would be a bit surprising, but it would also be a good reason to wait to see what comes before buying anything now.

As far as what will be included – the most likely additions seem to be a camera and support for Apple’s FaceTime (video conferencing) application.

If the timing is accurate then the features also make some sense – it might give Apple a way to have iPad 1.0 and 2.0 on the market at the same time (at different prices).
