What are the disadvantages of jail-breaking an iPad?
I heard that a lot of people are jail-breaking their iPad. My brother just did too. I also noticed that most of the ones sold on auction sites are also jail broken. Doesn’t it have any disadvantage? Why should I not jail break my iPad?

It seems that the biggest disadvantage of jailbreaking an iPad], is that Apple will void the warranty. It will also interfere with the operating system, and Apple will not fix anything that will not function properly.
Another would be that it could keep you from getting any upgrades from Apple, like with the operating system or so forth. I do believe that many of the people with jailbroken iPads, iPods and iPhones will have problems upgrading to the new iTunes to use the Ping feature.
One last thing is that it could cause problems with the 3G carrier. I can't figured out how this interferes, so it might not be a big issue. I think it might depend on the carrier. Of course this doesn't apply to those who don't use it.
