Mahalo is awesome! It's a great place to learn new things and meet some really fascinating people! I must say I love Mahalo, a lot, thus the reason I have a tattoo resembling Mahalo on my ankle!
It really is a wonderful community of people and knowledge and if I would were you I would definitely give it a try. You can find the answers to some of the deepest, or most crazy questions imaginable, which can be quite fun, you can earn badges for asking and answering a certain amount of questions, you can earn Mahalo dollars which can be spent in the Mahalo Store on Gift Cards and electronics and even donated to charities!
There are endless options, and Mahalo is always growing, whether it be new features, or a new design or even new users who stand out in the community.
I hope you enjoy, and feel free to ask questions if you need a little help!

We have the recipe for the honey barbecue chicken from KFC. I usually don't care for KFC's chicken, but when it's made at home it's delicious and super easy!
The recipe is based off of using 20 chicken drumettes.
Use one cup flour, mix with a teaspoon of salt and pepper
You'll need a bag to shake the chicken and the mix in
Shake until evenly coated, then deep fry chicken at 350 for 10-15 minutes, depending on deep fryer
Once chicken is done, toss chicken in a large pot and keep in oven on warm
Bring 1 bottle BBQ sauce (bullseye is a good one) and 1/4 cup honey to a rolling boil, stirring frequently to avoid burn spots.
Do this for about 10-15 minutes, til it's nice and warm, then pour sauce over chicken and mix it together until all drumettes are covered in sauce.
Warm in oven for another 15 minutes, and enjoy!
Hope this sounds delicious, cause it surely is!

Well personally, having done it many times I do it to test the guy. I know when I am playing with a guys mind, or emotions and I know when I am sending mixed signals. Yeah some women may not realize it, but I do.
I do it to try and catch the guy in a lie, if I don't trust them. To see if they are truly into me, or if one mixed signal will send him right back to someone else, into another persons arms...it's a merely a test in my eyes and I am honest about doing it after the fact.
There's my opinion, hope it helps!

Hey Mark! This is awesome, so excited! I tried to answer my best, deathly ill here....well I feel deathly ill at least,
1. What have you learned here on Mahalo Answers?
What haven’t I learned from Mahalo? This amazing community has taught me everything and more, from random tid bits of knowledge I never thought I would come across, to new ways of looking at things I thought I already knew pretty well. Not only that but Mahalo has taught me how to ask a good question, answer something thoroughly, and to write a killer page on any and every topic.
2. Favorite book? Movie? Band?
As some know I am quite the Twilight lover, so that is definitely on my list of favorite books! My favorite movie, that’s a tough one, I would have to say Pulp Fiction and/or The Crow, I absolutely love weird movies, that don’t always make sense. At the moment, my favorite band is Alice In Chains, but Pearl Jam is a close second.
3. What is the tallest cylinder in the world?
According to Torontoist.com, the tallest cylinder in the world is a freestanding cylinder located next to Bremner Blvd. Fascinating….:-D
4. What feature are you looking forward to here in Mahalo Answers?
I could think of many features that would be an awesome asset to Mahalo, however the one I personally would enjoy would be a ‘question suggestion’. I know we can choose topics and have those questions related to the topic show, but if we aren’t on for a day or so, we may miss those. The Mahalo Summary e-mails show some, but not all. So the ability for a Mahaloian to suggest a question to a fellow Mahaloian would be cool, at least I think.
5. What is your best advice for the new Mahalo user?
My best advice for a new user is, don’t be shy. When I started I was shy, I was scared to dive into the teams, and be myself when answering questions and even asking. We are a huge loving and caring community of awesome people, and we love having new members and we would love to get to know you!! Also, don’t be afraid to ask other Mahalo users for help with navigating the site, or about the rules. We are all here to help!
Thanks again!!

My boyfriend just recently, maybe 2 months ago, got himself an Xbox 360 and it came with the 4 GB memory unit. He has had to get a hard drive for it, because 4 GB truly is not very much at all. If you are really into video games and plan on playing those you listed, as well as getting additional DLC, such as maps for Call of Duty, and Halo you will be better off with a larger GB hard drive. I personally would recommend getting the 60 GB. I have that one and have had it for a year, and I am quite the gamer. I still have 30.1 GB free and about 50 games on it and quite a bit of music.
Hope this helps!

Hey @maddog19933, definitely want to help you with your question, but it leaves me with a few questions myself before being able to fully answer.
What would you being upset easily, have to do with it? Did something happen at the house? Is it just his house, do you share it?
It is possibly he may be wanting some space at the moment, but on the brighter side the holidays are coming as well, so he may not want you to see something special. If anything, simply ask him, "Why don't you want me near the house right now?" "Did I do something wrong? Is there anything you want to talk about something that may be bothering you, or just something weighing on your mind?"
It's hard to say for sure, without more detail, feel free to add a comment to this, and I can answer further if you'd like.

1.When and why do we need to put sources in our Mahalo answers?
Putting sources in your Mahalo answer helps back up the information you have used. Adding a source to any answer, even an opinion or thought can be useful. Not only can it determine whether or not you get a best answer (which is always nice to receive) it gives readers the chance to dive deeper into the information you have provided, as well as knowing that you have done your research and haven’t just pulled your answer out of a hat.
2. How do you find credible sources?
Credible sources can vary a site that ranks high on Google or even Bing can be deemed a more credible site. Things that are sourced themselves, whether it is from a book or another website. Websites that seem to be jumbled, tossed together and sound like someone who hasn’t the slightest idea of what they are writing about, may not be the best option, but don’t be afraid to double check with a peer for an opinion on any site you may come across!
3. What makes an online source credible?
I guess I sort of answered this one in question 2, but something that is backed up with sources, ranks high on a search engine, or even has great reviews from credible review websites can suffice.
4. What are your favorite go to places for credible information?
I always use Google, with Google I know the top sites will be given to me as soon as I hit the search button, also being able to narrow things down with the advanced search is a big plus, anything to help sort out the riff raff is great!
5. How do URL suffixes effect credibility?
The suffix effects the credibility to some degree, but I don’t feel it always makes or breaks the deal. Sites such as .gov, .edu and .org are fantastic, because you know it’s a website with support and is, for the most part, thoroughly put together. However there are many .com sites and even some .net that are just the same. In my opinion when it comes to a .com or .net, double check for sources, where the info is coming from and if the text itself seems to flow, or is choppy.
Hope this helps some newbies! Welcome to Mahalo and remember to be afraid to ask questions!

From what The Weather Channel it appears that yes we are still in for quite the winter. Something called El Nina is present which is the opposite of El Nino. El Nino is an extreme heat, from what I understand, making El Nina extreme cold. Maybe not extreme but it sure feels like it!
--Quote--
La Niña (lä nēn'yä)
A cooling of the surface water of the eastern and central Pacific Ocean, occurring somewhat less frequently than El Niño events but causing similar, generally opposite disruptions to global weather patterns. La Niña conditions occur when the Pacific trade winds blow more strongly than usual, pushing the sun-warmed surface water farther west and increasing the upwelling of cold water in the eastern regions. Together with the atmospheric effects of the related southern oscillation , the cooler water brings drought to western South America and heavy rains to eastern Australia and Indonesia.
--EndQuote--
Hope this answers your question to some degree, I may be off base but if that's the case then why in the world does the weather channel keep bringing this up?

Walmart does in fact have weekly sales, and many times items for pets are on sale as well. Walmart naturally has some of the lowest prices, which is great but sales definitely help. My suggestion would be to check the weekly ad that comes with the Sunday newspaper, which you can pick up at any grocery store, or probably at a Walmart. The Walmart in the area I live in also has the ads readily available when customers come into the store, however they only have so many, thus the reason for getting the Sunday paper. You can also go online to Walmarts website, and look at the weekly ad and sales there.
Sometimes it's best to just go in, since not everything that is on sale will be in an ad or even on the website, but looking at such resources is a great place to start!
http://www.walmart.com/ >> Go here and at the top is has an option for your 'local ad', put in your zip code and it will show.
Hope this helps!

Although I have advice/suggestions when it comes to the asking and answering part of Mahalo, the number one thing I tell a new user is, don't be afraid to ask for help, reach out to the community, and don't be a stranger. The Mahalo community is like a big family and we are all here for each other and I can't stress that enough. I see new users come on, ask fantastic questions and give brilliant answers, and then they seem to just disappear. I found one user who has disappeared and spoke to them about why they decided to leave and they said they didn't feel welcome. This blew my mind, so remember don't be shy, have fun, make friends, and help rock the Mahalo community! We are happy to have you on board!
