How long of a contract do I need to sign up for to use 3G on my iPad?

Ipads are unlocked devices, that is they do not have contracts. Th way data currently work is you pay for a certain amount for the month and most carrier will subscribe you to that plan. Yu are not obligated to continue the plan if you do not wat to. It's as simple as canceling it. Tere are no termination fees or anything, its all up front without contracts.
