How do I use my iPad as a picture frame?
You can leave an optional "tip" with Mahalo's virtual currency, Mahalo Dollars. If you are asking a difficult question that might require some research, or if you'd like a wide variety of feedback, a higher tip often leads to more answers to your question.

To do this is simple...
First, load some photos onto the iPad via iTunes. To setup what photos to use, select the Photos tab in the iPad's setup area in iTunes and point it the directory or folder where you have the photos. iTunes can also read the sub-folders and this is a way to creates mini-albums on the iPad.
After you have synced the iPad and the photos on it, you will see a small little icon with the outline of a flower on the unlock screen of the iPad. Click that and voila, you have a digital photo frame.
In the iPad's settings area, you can change how this photo slideshow transitions from one image to the next... you can set transitions such as dissolve and slide in, etc.

M$As far as apps for slideshow go, check out this link. It's a forum where someone asked nearly the same question as you... hopefully you may be able to find an answer there -

M$These are some simple instructions how to do this:
1. Be sure that your iPad is loaded with digital pictures. If you don't have pictures yet, you can import from your computer or download from the web or download from Apple App Store. You can also create images using various Apps that allow you to draw, paint, manipulate photos.
2. Put your iPad to "sleep" by pressing the button on top of the device, this is the opposite end from the Home button.
3. Now, wake up the iPad by pressing the Home button. You can see the right of the "Slide To Unlock" slider there is a button with a flower icon. Just press this flower icon to activate the slide show
4. You can place it where you want to see it like the kitchen counter or table. It would be best to use a stand or charger with stand to hold the iPad at an appropriate viewing angle.
